Description:

CR Polyimide Film (e.g. Kapton® CR Film) is a corona resistant film, developed specifically to withstand the damaging effects of corona, which can cause ionization and eventual breakdown of an insulation material or system when the voltage stress reaches a critical level.

Corona Resistant Polyimide Film not only retains the excellent electrical, thermal, and chemical properties of general polyimide Film, but also has superior corona resistance and thermal conductivity. It enhances service life and operational efficiencies vs conventional electrical insulation materials.

Application:

CR Corona Resistant Polyimide Film can be punched, formed, laminated, or adhesive coated. It is widely used as electrical insulation materials where there is a need for enhanced insulation life under partial discharge environments in rail traction, industrial motors and generators, transformer, magnet wire, coils and so on.
